HIV/AIDS is real and is here and an HIV diagnosis can be devastating and CAFPH provides HIV/AIDS awareness to communities and organisations and are involved in health promotion activities like World Aids Day and others
Peer Support Training
Peer supporters are trained in basic counselling skills, communication skills, understanding boundaries and confidentiality issues.
Workshops
Topical issues like safer sex, treatment etc are discussed in workshops and focus groups.
Research
CAFPH has engaged in different research projects and has also carried out its own community research project on mental health.
CAFPH also maximises training opportunities for staff, volunteers and clients by accessing training offered by other agencies including courses like childcare, IT, First Aid etc.
