The International AIDS Conference is the premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV, as well as policy makers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic. It is a chance to assess where we are, evaluate recent scientific developments and lessons learnt, and collectively chart a course forward.
CAFPH’s attended the International AIDS Conference in Toronto, Canada in July 2006. Please take a moment to see photos of the conference.
Also, please be sure to read the WAC update, a synopsis of the conference by Juliet Reid, a CAFPH Trustee who attended the conference.

International AIDS Conferences happen every two years and are the biggest gathering of scientific, community and government leaders, UN agencies, donors and the general public committed to finding solutions to end the pandemic. The next conference will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 18 to 23 July 2010. We expect over 25,000 participants from more than 100 countries around the world to attend the conference. Many of these will hopefully be young people! For more information.
On 1ST July 2011 CAFPH held A Youth conference in Luton.

“MY LIFE, MY FUTURE” INVOLVING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING & AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS IN SHAPING UP SERVICE

The aim of the conference was to bring together and engage all stakeholders/ providers in the East of England to find out the needs of young people living and affected by HIV/AIDS, share best practice and to network. CAFPH has an established Children & Young People’s service, and in 2009 initiated a network across the East of England with support from Elton John AIDS Foundation for young people with HIV/AIDS. The aim of the network is to provide a forum as a platform for collaborative work, information sharing, and best practice for community organizations, social care providers and commissioners who are providing support services for Children & Young People affected by HIV/AIDS in the East of England. We are proud to be part of a region-wide forum promoting the welfare of children and young people affected by HIV/AIDS.
Centre for All Families Positive Health (CAFPH) is a charitable organisation providing support, assistance, advice, information and various other activities to people affected by HIV/AIDS, to combat isolation, fear, stigma, and prejudice. We aim to help improve and enhance the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS, promote sexual health and HIV/AIDS awareness in the community and in other agencies and raise aspirations of people living with HIV/AIDS through empowerment, support, enhancing self-esteem and general well-being.
