About Us
CAFPH is peer led and all efforts are made to involve people living with HIV/AIDS in the development and improvement of services at all levels. Due to increasing numbers of HIV/AIDS infections in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas, and the lack of a Peer led organisation the need arose to set up a centre to provide peer support for families affected by HIV/AIDS that is culturally sensitive, respectful and empathic. CAFPH aims to provide activities that will encourage well being and enhance the health of people affected by HIV/AIDS living in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. To involve and be peer led and to provide useful information in a culturally sensitive way.
CAFPH originated from a group of affected people who recognised that there is a gap in services being offered to people affected by HIV/AIDS in Bedfordshire (especially Luton). With the help of our clients, funders and supporters, CAFPH has been able to acquire a new building where we can improve and increase our services not only in Bedford but also to surrounding areas.
CAFPH is committed to taking a leading role in improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS.
